Typically, a CMS editor will make changes on a page, save them, preview them on the web, and then publish them when everything looks good.
Sometimes, though, there is a valid reason for wanting to hide a page from the site navigation. In order to hide a page, follow these steps:
- Find the page in the CMS and open it up for editing it
- In the Page Properties section near the top, you'll find a radio-button choice entitled Show in Navigation?
- Select No and then Save or Save & Publish
This does hide the page from the navigation, making it virtually impossible for people to navigate to it, but it does not remove it from the public site - it could still be found via a web search.
If you wish to fully remove a page from your website, see our deleting pages article.
